LOS THUNDER LADS are here! They are on a mission.
Three old friends started this website in July, 2007. They had been keeping in touch via email. Most of their messages didn’t contain much personal information; they would exchange comments about politics, links to webpages, silly jokes, weird pictures, etc. Most of the time they referred to each other by pseudonyms. It eventually dawned on them that what they were conducting was really a blog. Those three founders have posted under the names VThunderlad, Le Falcon, and Acilius.
Other authors have since joined. Some of these newer additions are in fact Thunderlasses rather than Thunderlads.
It was Le Falcon who suggested the names “Los Thunderlads” and “Panther Red.” As the site’s original administrator, VThunderlad found a way to use both of these.
One category that may require some explanation is “Periodicals Notes.” Acilius started these. Sometimes Acilius finds himself trying to remember something he’s read in a magazine. When he can’t, he wishes he’d taken notes on the article when he read it. What shows up under the heading “Periodicals Notes” are not reviews of the magazines, but just the points the author of the post (still usually Acilius, though others sometimes contribute under this heading) thinks s/he might someday want to check again. If you see notes on a magazine you have read and the author of the post has left out something you want to make note of, hey, there are comments.
Acilius has set up two satellite pages, http://acilius.blogspot.com/ and http://acilius.wordpress.com/. He rather likes his screen name (which he explains on the blogspot page) and is afraid someone else will take it.

Also: Everybody should know that the site’s alternative title is ‘PANTHER RED: Los Thunder Lads Are Laying Down Some Cable!’

I guess I should’ve read this first. I thought we were here to avoid talking about the possibility of life-as-we-know-it on Mars. I’ve managed to avoid that topic in most of my posts.
I put “Panther Red” through Anagram Genius and the most appropriate anagrams- in my assessment- are “Hard repent.” and “Her darn pet.” But I could be way off in my assessment (see above paragraph).
